We need you!

Stotfold Town Council is inviting applications from residents to join a brand-new Overview and Scrutiny Committee, which will play an important role in reviewing and shaping the services provided for our community.

The committee will meet four times a year to look at a range of council activities, such as how we manage the Town Council’s budget and how we run our community facilities, including our allotments and cemetery.

This is an exciting opportunity for local people to get directly involved in making sure our services are efficient, effective, and deliver value for money. The committee will be made up of four town councillors and four members of the public, working together to ask questions, review information, and make recommendations for improvement.

We are looking for residents who:

  • Live in Stotfold and care about the town’s future
  • Can work collaboratively with councillors and fellow residents
  • Are able to look at issues objectively and fairly
  • Can commit to attending four evening meetings a year

No prior experience is required – just a willingness to contribute positively and help ensure Stotfold Town Council remains open, accountable, and responsive to its community.

If you are interested, please contact the Town Clerk, Emma Payne, at [email protected] or call 01462 730064 if you'd like a chat about the role.
