Town Councillor Vacancy - Co-Option Opportunity

Town Councillor Vacancy – Co-option Opportunity

Stotfold Town Council has a vacancy for a Town Councillor and is inviting applications from eligible members of the community.

If you are passionate about Stotfold and would like to play an active part in local decision-making, this is a great opportunity to get involved.

A vacancy on the Council can be filled by co-option where no election is called. This means the Council will consider applications from eligible candidates and make an appointment at the Town Council meeting on 6 May 2026.

To apply, applicants must be aged 18 or over, meet the legal qualification criteria, and must not be disqualified from serving as a councillor.

Applicants are asked to complete the Council’s Co-option Application Form and submit a supporting statement explaining why they wish to join the Council and what they could bring to the role. More information can be found here Stotfold Town Council: Councillor Vacancies

Application deadline: Friday 24 April 2026, 12 noon.
Co-option to be considered at: Town Council meeting on Wednesday 6 May 2026
