Remembrance Day 2020
Published: 19 October 2020
This years commemorations for Remembrance Day are going to be very different as Coronavirus will prevent any gatherings to take place. We are disappointed to advise that the usual ceremony of wreath laying at the Stotfold Cemetery will not be taking place this year. However, the Mayor will be laying a wreath on behalf of the town on either Remembrance Sunday or Armistice Day.
Residents are encouraged to privately pay your respects for those who have been lost during past conflicts by joining the nation in a moment of silence at 11am on Remembrance Sunday (8th November) and Armistice Day (11th November) You can do this on your doorstep, or in a peaceful spot such as in your garden with your family. You could also print off and display our Lest we Forget poster to show your respect, or colour in one of the images (courtesy of www.colouringheroes.com) and put in your window.
